Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Ferna (formerly Wabi) — our website, apps, and services (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. "Ferna", "we", "our", and "us" refer to the company operating the Service; "you" and "your" refer to the person using it.

The Service

Ferna helps you manage physical mail: identifying senders from photos you provide, submitting mail-preference and opt-out requests on your behalf, and offering AI-assisted analysis of mail you photograph, including suggested follow-up actions.

Your Authorization to Ferna

By using the Service, you also agree to the following:

  • You will only upload images of items that arrived at your own residence or business, addressed to you or to "current resident", consisting of standard paper mail such as letters, magazines, catalogs, coupons, flyers, phone books, and credit or insurance offers.
  • If you use Ferna on someone else's behalf, you represent that you have the authority to act as their agent and to bind them to these terms, and you accept responsibility for use of the Service on their behalf.
  • You authorize Ferna to contact the relevant companies on your behalf and request removal of your name from their mailing and distribution lists, by any reasonable means (mail, email, web, phone, or fax). The same authorization applies if you choose to convert a paper correspondence to its electronic form.
  • Before a request is submitted, you will have an opportunity to review the sender our image-recognition technology identified. You are responsible for confirming its accuracy, and you agree that Ferna is not liable for the consequences of a request submitted to a sender you confirmed incorrectly.

Accounts and Acceptable Use

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree not to misuse the Service — including submitting requests for addresses or recipients you are not authorized to represent, interfering with the Service's operation, or attempting to access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide.

Cookies

We use cookies to operate and improve the Service. By using the Service you consent to our use of cookies as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, Ferna and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on the Service, and all such rights are reserved. You may view and print pages for your own personal use, but you may not republish, sell, rent, sub-license, or reproduce material from the Service without permission.

Subscriptions and Refunds

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account, effective at the end of the current billing period. New paid subscriptions are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all representations, warranties, and conditions relating to the Service, including implied warranties of satisfactory quality and fitness for a particular purpose. Opt-out outcomes depend on third-party senders and registries, and results are not guaranteed. AI-generated analysis can make mistakes — it is provided for convenience and is not legal, financial, or professional advice; verify important details against the original mail.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, and to the extent the Service is provided free of charge, we will not be liable for any loss or damage of any nature.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
